WALNUT
It is a tree which comes from the regions of the South-West Asia and was introduced in Europe in the ancients times because of its edible fruits. The walnut tree can be cultivated also for the wood production or for both aims.
It is a very vigorous tree which can reach a height of 30 meters, it has a sturdy, high and straight trunk and it has also robust roots.
The fruits are mature in the months of October, November and later on they are exposed to the sun for 10-12 days to have them dried. It prefers deep, fresh grounds, it resists well to cold weather even though it prefers a warm climate but without humidity.
