BANANA
This plant belongs to the tropical Musaceae family, which counts approximately 80 species, probably originating from Asia. It has large leaves and is mainly known for its edible fruit or bananas that are eaten raw or cooked as a vegetable; a very nutrient flour called bananol is made from the greenly fruit.
It grows well in warm and tempered climates, in lands having a maximum altitude of 200 meters.
Decorative, warm, honey-coloured furniture and chairs are made from its natural woven leaves.
